Health Reimbursement Arrangement

Employer-funded account for eligible healthcare expenses.

How It Works

If you are enrolled in the HDHP HRA 4000 plan, you have a great option to get extra funds you can use for health expenses like copays, coinsurance, and deductible.

Features of your HRA

  • The HRA is only available if you are enrolled in the HDHP HRA 4000 medical plan.
  • RP will give you $1,000* to help you pay for eligible out-of-pocket expenses regardless of your coverage tier.
  • You will receive a Vita Flex Debit Card to use to pay for qualified expenses for you or your dependents.
  • Unused money will not roll over to future years.
  • If you leave the practice, any unused funds will be forfeited.

*HRA is entirely funded by Radiology Partners.

Rules to keep in mind

  • It’s 100% employer-funded, rules prohibit teammate contributions.
  • It’s 100% tax-free. HRA reimbursements are excluded from your gross income.

Using Your Vita HRA

Once you have signed up for the HDHP HRA 4000 plan, an HRA with Vita will be opened on your behalf. You will receive an email from Vita acknowledging your enrollment. Please follow the directions to access your account online. The full website allows you to:

  • Check current balances
  • View statements and tax documents

You can access the Vita Consumer Portal to check your balance or upload claim documentation through the Vita mobile app. You can download the Vita mobile app through the App Store or on Google Play. Once you have downloaded the app to your mobile device, you will need to log in using your Vita username and password.

Get More Tax Savings with an FSA

You can have both an HRA and a Health Flexible Spending Account (FSA) at the same time but you can’t be reimbursed from both accounts for the same expense. Generally, the HRA is used first until the account is depleted.
